BEYOND HERE, FIELD NOTES·

Standing Alone at the Top of the World

You climb for four hours and then you are here. The forest stretches in every direction further than your eyes can follow. Somewhere down there is a road, a town, a life with a schedule. Up here there is only wind and light and the particular silence that only exists above a certain altitude.

You came halfway around the world for this moment. Standing on a rock, alone, with everything below you.

It was worth it. It is always worth it.
